Ende September musste Prof Neubauer sich einer Akutbehandlung unterziehen. Im Oktober nahm er eine ambulante Reha Maßnahme in Anspruch.
At the end of September, Professor Neubauer had to undergo acute treatment. In October, he received outpatient rehabilitation.
Das IfG hat seinen Schlussbericht zu dem Projekt CVD Nürnberg, im Rahmen der Initiative „Herz -Hirn -Allianz“ fertig gestellt.
The IfG has completed the final report on the CVD Nuremberg project, within the framework of the “Heart-Brain Alliance” initiative.
Der Ältesten-Rat von Health Care Bayern hat unter dem Vorsitz von Professor Neubauer fünf Thesen zu Reformbedarf und Reformansätzen der GKV und SPV der Mitgliederversammlung von HCB im Dezember vorgelegt.
The Council of Elders of Health Care Bavaria, chaired by Professor Neubauer, presented five theses on the need for and approaches to reform of the statutory health insurance (GKV) and statutory long-term care insurance (SPV) to the HCB general meeting in December.
- Veröffentlichungen (Publications)
Die Thesen zu Reformbedarf und Reformansätzen sind auf der Homepage des IfG veröffentlicht. Eine zentrale These lautet: das vertikale Solidarprinzip muss durch ein horizontales Solidarprinzip ersetzt werden. Damit ist angesprochen, dass der demografiebasierte Ausgleich zwischen jung und alt ersetzt oder zumindest ergänzt werden muss durch einen horizontalen Ausgleich über Einkommensausgleich innerhalb einer Generation.
The theses for reform requirements and reform approaches are published on the IfG website. One critical point states that the vertical principle of solidarity should be replaced by a horizontal principle of solidarity. This implies that the demographically based equalization between young and old should be replaced, or at least supplemented, by horizontal equalization through income sharing within a generation.
Ebenso wichtig ist es, dass die Arbeitsplätze in Deutschland wieder wettbewerbsfähig werden, durch Reduktion der Lohnnebenkosten. Hier muss auch die Lohnfortzahlung stärker in eine Reform einbezogen werden.
It is important that jobs in Germany become competitive again by reducing non-wage labor costs. Continued wage payments should also be more strongly integrated into the reform.
- Beratung und Forschungsprojekte (Consulting and Research)
Derzeit ist das IfG in drei Forschungsprojekte engagiert:
– CVD Nürnberg -Sekundärprävention von HKE
– Organisatorischen Betreuung der 28. Nürnberger Gespräche in Mannheim
– Vorbereitung für RG 20: eine empirische Auswertung der Folgen auf die ländliche Radiologie -Versorgung durch die geplante Reform der GOÄ
– Evaluation der Kostenwirksamkeit eines alternativen Behandlungskonzepts von Post-Covid Patienten
The IfG is currently involved in three research projects:
– CVD Nuremberg – Secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases
– Organizational support for the 28th Nuremberg Symposium in Mannheim
– Preparation for RG 20: an empirical evaluation of the impact of the planned reform of the German Fee Schedule for Physicians (GOÄ) on rural radiology services
– Evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of an alternative treatment concept for post-COVID patients

Prof. Neubauer moderierte und leitete den wissenschaftlichen Beirat der Rehasan-Gruppe in Köln.
Professor Neubauer moderated and chaired the scientific advisory board of the Rehasan Group in Cologne.
- Teilnahme an Tagungen (Conferences)
Prof. Neubauer, nahm als Gast an der Preisverleihung der Münch-Stiftung teil. Ebenfalls war er Teilnehmer bei der virtuellen Sitzung zur Vorbereitung des Krankenhaus Report 2027 des WidO.
Professor Neubauer attended the Münch Foundation’s award ceremony as a guest. He also participated in the virtual meeting to prepare the WidO’s 2027 Hospital Report.
Als Experte wurde Professor Neubauer interviewed zum neuen Vergütungssysteme für die Rehabilitation der DRV. Die Interviews wurden von Mitarbeiterrinnen des WIG 2 GmhB durchgeführt.
Professor Neubauer was interviewed as an expert on the new reimbursement system for rehabilitation by the German Pension Insurance (DRV). The interviews were conducted by employees of WIG 2 GmbH.
Prof. G. Neubauer nahm an der Herbst -Sitzung des DUK-Versorgungswerk in Berlin teil. In der Diskussion wies er vor allen auf die hohen Ausgaben für die Arbeitsunfähigkeit in Deutschland hin. Mit rund 80 Milliarden Lohnfortzahlung ist dies nach den Krankenhaus- Ausgaben die zweithöchste Ausgabenposition in der Gesundheitsversorgung.
Professor Neubauer participated in the autumn meeting of the DUK pension fund in Berlin. During the discussion, he focused on the high costs associated with sick leave in Germany. At approximately 80 billion euros in continued wage payments, this is the second-highest expenditure item in the healthcare system, apart from hospital costs.
