The IfG has reduced its on-site office hours on weekdays to 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. However, incoming emails are monitored and processed throughout the day.

Prof. Neubauer veröffentlichte einen Diskussionsbeitrag für die „Physio Deutschland“ mit dem Titel „Der Regierungsentwurf zum GKV-Beitragssatzstabilisierungsgesetz liegt vor: Was ist zu erwarten?“. In seinem Beitrag setzte sich Prof. Neubauer kritisch mit dem Grundsatz der einnahmenorientierten Ausgabenpolitik auseinander. Nach seiner Meinung wird dieser Grundsatz den sachlichen Gegebenheiten nicht gerecht.
Prof. G. Neubauer published a statement for “Physio Deutschland” titled “The Government’s Draft of the Statutory Health Insurance Contribution Rate Stabilization Act: What Can Be Expected?”. In his article, Prof. Neubauer critically examined the principle of revenue-oriented expenditure policy. In his view, this principle does not adequately reflect the actual circumstances.
Auf dem 33. Deutschen Krankenhaus-Controller-Tag referierte Prof. Neubauer zu aktuellen Herausforderungen im Controlling von Krankenhäusern. Er betonte dabei, dass die Mittelknappheit in der Gesundheitsversorgung, insbesondere bei Krankenhäusern, ein anhaltender Trend ist. Dem Controlling fällt die Aufgabe zu, die Finanzmittel im Krankenhaus stärker produktivitätsorientiert zu steuern. Derzeit hinkt die Arbeitsproduktivität im Krankenhaus, insbesondere im Pflegebereich, der Produktivitätsentwicklung der Gesamtwirtschaft deutlich hinterher. Dieser Produktivitätsrückstand kann auch als Mittelverschwendung eingeschätzt werden.
At the 33rd German Hospital Controller Day, Prof. Neubauer gave a presentation on current challenges in hospital controlling. He emphasized that the shortage of financial resources in healthcare, particularly in hospitals, is an ongoing trend. Controlling has the task of managing hospital financial resources in a more productivity-oriented way. At present, labor productivity in hospitals, especially in the nursing sector, lags significantly behind productivity developments in the economy as a whole. This productivity gap can also be regarded as a waste of resources.

Prof. Neubauer fertigte eine Expertise zu den Auswirkungen des GKV-Beitragsstabilisierungsgesetzes auf die Dialyseversorgung an. Im Resümee sieht er keine größeren Veränderungen für die Dialyseversorgung kommen.
Prof. Neubauer prepared an expert opinion on the effects of the Statutory Health Insurance Contribution Rate Stabilization Act (GKV Contribution Rate Stabilization Act) on dialysis care. In his conclusion, he does not expect any major changes for dialysis care.
Prof. Neubauer leitete die 66. Beiratssitzung der Rehasan Gruppe in Bad Mergentheim. Zum Auftakt skizzierte er die Eckpunkte der aktuellen Gesundheitspolitik aus der Sicht der Rehabilitation. Er betonte, dass sich sowohl die einnahmenorientierte Ausgabenpolitik der GKV, die Einführung von Krankenhausleistungsgruppen als auch die wachsende Bedeutung der medizinischen Prävention auf die Rehabilitation auswirken werden.
Prof. Neubauer chaired the 66th Advisory Board meeting of the Rehasan Group in Bad Mergentheim. At the beginning of the meeting, he outlined the key aspects of current health policy from the perspective of rehabilitation. He emphasized that the revenue-oriented expenditure policy of the statutory health insurance system (GKV), the introduction of hospital service groups, and the growing importance of medical prevention will all have an impact on rehabilitation.
Prof. Neubauer nahm Stellung zu einem Forschungsantrag zur Umweltbedeutung der GKV-Ausgaben. Der Projektantrag skizziert einen innovativen Ansatz zur Messung der Umweltwirkungen sowie zu deren gezielter Steuerung durch die GKV.
Prof. Neubauer commented on a research proposal concerning the environmental significance of GKV expenditures. The project proposal outlines an innovative approach to measuring environmental impacts and to their targeted management by the statutory health insurance system.
Prof. Neubauer nahm an der Beiratssitzung zum Europäischen Gesundheitskongress teil.
Prof. Neubauer attended the Advisory Board meeting of the European Health Congress.
- Vorträge und Moderation (Presentations)
Prof. Neubauer hat auf dem 33. Deutschen Krankenhaus-Controllertag in Potsdam zum Thema „Aktuelle Themen und neuartige Entwicklungen im Bereich des Controllings“ einen Diskussionsbeitrag gehalten. Er stellte dabei in den Mittelpunkt, dass das derzeitige Sozialleistungssystem angesichts der demografischen Entwicklung nicht in seiner bisherigen Form fortgeführt werden kann. Erforderlich ist eine gerechtere Lastenverteilung zwischen der jungen und der älteren Generation.
Prof. G. Neubauer gave a presentation at the 33rd German Hospital Controlling Conference in Potsdam on the topic of “Current Issues and Innovative Developments in the Field of Controlling.” He emphasized that, in light of demographic developments, the current social welfare system can no longer continue in its present form. A fair distribution of the financial burden between the younger and the older generations is therefore required.
- Gespräche mit der Presse und Teilnahme an Kongressen
Prof. Neubauer gab der Finflow GmbH Berlin ein Interview. Inhalt des Interviews waren Fragen zur aktuellen GKV-Reform sowie zu deren Umsetzungschancen. Nach Einschätzung von Prof. Neubauer ist diese Reform nur kurzfristig erfolgreich. Es gilt der Satz: „Nach der Reform von Ministerin Warken ist vor der Reform von NN.“
Prof. Neubauer gave an interview to Finflow GmbH Berlin. The interview focused on the current reform of the statutory health insurance system (GKV) and its prospects for implementation. In Prof. Neubauer’s assessment, the reform will only be successful in the short term. As he put it: “After Minister Warken’s reform is before the next reform.”
Prof. Neubauer nahm am Jahresempfang der AOK teil. Ebenso besuchte er den Hauptstadtkongress 2026 in Berlin.
Prof. Neubauer attended the AOK Annual Reception. He also visited the 2026 Capital City Congress in Berlin.
